Remembering Haiti One Year After the Quake. . .

Today marks the anniversary of the devastating earthquake that affected Haiti one year ago. While there was a great outpouring of love and support from around the world, much work remains to be done in the nation where many live in poverty and large numbers of people remain homeless as they live in tents and shelterless, open spaces.

The people of Haiti are are using their own resilliance, hard work, and intelligence to take important steps in rebuilding their own nation and infrastructure. Here are some stories from NPR, documenting both healing in the nation and strong needs that remain an ongoing crisis. Let's pray for the Haitian people in their efforts and turn toward them in a posture of partnership.
