Presbyterians Think About Trade Reform

We participate in it so often, but only rarely, do we intentionally think about a practice which is such a staple of our daily lives. Only rarely do we reflect on trade. How do trade practices affect our lives? How do they affect the lives of others - those who live near us? Those who live on the other side of the globe?

We invite you to join us in thinking about trade practices: What is fair trade? How are workers treated around the world? Who benefits from particular practices? Does one partner benefit? Do multiple partners benefit?

What might our faith traditions say to these questions?

Please visit this link from the General Assembly Mission Council: Presbyterians think, reflect, and act toward better trade practices for our world.

And also, as an act of awareness and faith, read the tag of something you're wearing today. Where was your clothing made? What can you learn about that country today?
